Biography
SORIZON is a heavy metal band that makes each of its songs a unique listening experience. SORIZON doesn’t keep to one sound. You may hear adventure and exploration one moment while despair and devastation wait for you right around the corner. SORIZON's goal is to create music that connects to the audience to reveal a story, even before the lyrics are known and reveal the true tale. With the help of multi-talented vocalist Keith McIntosh, SORIZON is able to combine elements you would hear from death metal, power metal and everything else metal in between.
SORIZON was formed In Early 2008 when the three remaining members (Danny, Sean, and Keith) of classic metal band Joust decided it was time to upgrade the creative side of the music and get “Heavy”. The band was completed with the acquisition of shredder AJ Jorion and Keith Hoffman on growling bass. At the close of 2009, the band finished their powerful début full-length album Behind the Emerald Starscape. The album was appropriately mastered in Finland at the famous Finnvox Studios by the "Master" (no pun intended) Mika Jussila. Mika also mastered albums by Children of Bodom, Dragonforce, and Nightwish. In summer/fall of 2010, some lineup changes introduced the great Chris Tom (guitar) and Jack Payne (bass) to the Sorizon team. In spring 2011, Tim Hall joined for guitar slaying duties.
After getting fantastic reviews worldwide for Behind the Emerald Starscape, SORIZON decided to push themselves even further for their 2nd full-length album, Somnus, set to release in late 2012. Somnus will mark a great evolution of the SORIZON sound that will surely hit fans even harder with an even more diverse and interesting blend of all things heavy.
